Delete your account

You can request permanent deletion of your sidebee account and associated data. Submitting a request does not delete the account immediately; requests are verified and completed manually.
Request deletion in the app
Open Settings and select Request account deletion. Confirm the request, then the app will sign you out. We will contact the email connected to your account when needed and when processing is complete.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email us from the address connected to your account. Include your username and account email. Do not include your password. We may ask you to verify ownership.

After verification, we delete the authentication account and associated profile, uploaded profile image, favourites, ratings, private rating history, reviews, diary entries, comments, likes, Nectar gifts, lists, listen-later items, friendships, notifications, push tokens, preferences, Nectar balances, Honey Pots, badges and other account-linked content. Some records may be de-identified rather than deleted where they no longer identify you.
Limited retention
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion request, and limited information reasonably required for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or temporary backups. Retained information is not used to reactivate your account.
Timing and consequences
We process verified requests as soon as reasonably practicable and will contact you when complete. Once deletion is completed, it is irreversible and your username or previous content may not be recoverable.
Content shared elsewhere
Deleting your account removes associated content from sidebee, subject to the limited retention above. It cannot remove screenshots, exported review images or other copies that you or others have shared outside the service. You may need to contact the relevant person or platform to request removal.
