Terms of use

These terms govern your use of sidebee. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 to create an account or use the service. If you are 16 or older but under the age of legal majority where you live, use the service only with permission from a parent or guardian. Provide accurate information, keep your login secure and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access.

Your content

You retain ownership of ratings, reviews, comments, lists and other content you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content only as reasonably needed to operate, promote and improve the service, subject to your visibility settings. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit your content.

Acceptable use

Do not harass or threaten others, impersonate people, manipulate ratings, post unlawful or infringing material, invade privacy, evade blocks or moderation, scrape or reverse engineer the service, spread malware, interfere with security, or use the service for spam or fraud.

Moderation and safety

Users can report content and block accounts. We may review, restrict or remove content and suspend or close accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, comply with law or maintain the service. We cannot guarantee that every report will be reviewed immediately. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.

Music and third-party services

Artist names, artwork, links, credits and catalogue information may be supplied by Apple Music and other third-party services. Those providers retain their respective rights and apply their own terms. We do not grant ownership of music or artwork, and availability or accuracy of catalogue information may change.

Account deletion

You can initiate an account-deletion request in Settings or through our account-deletion page. We may verify ownership before completing a request. Associated user content will be deleted or de-identified except where limited retention is reasonably required by law, security or fraud-prevention needs.

Availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every music item will remain available.

Australian consumer law and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the app, website or email where practicable. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
